Position Title: Sr. Traffic Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join and help lead our expanding team in Sacramento. This position offers the opportunity to work on various public infrastructure and private development projects, including Traffic Signal Designs, Roadway Lighting Design, Intelligent Transportation System, Pedestrian/Roadway Safety, Multi-modal Operations, Signing, Pavement Delineation, and Work Zone Traffic Control.
As a Senior Traffic Engineer, they will take on the responsibility of preparing traffic studies and designs with minimal supervision. They will work collaboratively with team members to produce high-quality deliverables and contribute to the growth and success of our team. Additionally, they will supervise traffic engineers in their preparation of traffic studies and designs and manage traffic-related projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. They will also prepare traffic engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E) for various infrastructure projects, as well as draft proposals for traffic engineering projects. This role involves a key focus on strategic planning, budgeting, and client communication. It is an ownership-track position and is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader.
Responsibilities:
Manage work scope, schedule, and budget for traffic engineering design projects.
Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling.
Prepare traffic operations analysis to support traffic design projects.
Prepare proposals for traffic engineering design projects.
Collaborate with team members to produce high-quality deliverables.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
BS in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
Registered as a Professional Engineer in Civil, Electrical, or Traffic Engineering, preferably in California. If registered outside California, it is expected to be registered in California within 2 years.
10+ years of experience in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling.
Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Knowledge of AGI and/or VISUAL photometric analysis software.
Familiarity with Auto-Turn software.
Experience with Synchro and SimTraffic traffic analysis software.
Position Title: Mid-Level Traffic Engineer

This position offers the opportunity to work on various public infrastructure and private development projects, including Traffic Signal Designs, Roadway Lighting Design, Intelligent Transportation System, Pedestrian/Roadway Safety, Multi-modal Operations, Signing, Pavement Delineation, and Work Zone Traffic Control.
The Mid-Level Traffic Engineer manages and executes traffic engineering projects under the supervision of a Senior Traffic Engineer. The typical traffic engineering projects involve preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and work zone traffic control. They collaborate with team members and clients, use engineering software to prepare traffic and photometric analyses to ensure compliance with regulations. This role involves preparing technical reports, managing project timelines and budgets, and serving as a bridge between junior engineers and senior management.
Responsibilities:
Work with a team of engineers and technicians designing and producing a variety of traffic engineering projects.
Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling.
Perform work under an agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Qualifications:
