SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE… We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our Santa Clara-based Manufacturing Test Team. Your primary focus will be to develop, enhance, and maintain advanced test solutions for Intel x86 and other flash storage based hardware products in a manufacturing environment. This position will require deep technical expertise in test software development with Python, hands-on work with hardware, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing comprehensive test plans from hardware schematics, driving test requirements across teams, and communicating effectively with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to manage prototype builds. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING… Test Software Development:

Design, develop, and deploy software solutions for testing Intel x86 and flash storage hardware in a manufacturing setting. Improve existing test software for greater efficiency, scalability, and integration, ensuring alignment with hardware requirements. Test Plan Creation:

Develop detailed test plans based on hardware schematics and design documents, ensuring all necessary parameters and scenarios are covered for robust hardware validation. Collaborate with design and hardware engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into practical test strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Drive test tool and process requirements to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with overall product and manufacturing goals. Maintain close coordination with global teams to ensure feedback and improvements are incorporated into the test tools. Contract Manufacturer (CM) Communication and Proto Build Management:

Serve as the main technical interface between the company and CMs, ensuring accurate communication of test requirements and process updates. Oversee the management of prototype builds, ensuring that test plans are effectively executed and any issues are promptly addressed. Legacy Code Modernization:

Modernize and optimize legacy codebases to align with current industry standards, improving compatibility and performance across test environments. Continuous Improvement:

Lead initiatives to enhance test procedures and tools, focusing on improved debugging, failure handling, and overall testing efficiency. WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE… Software Development Expertise:

Strong experience in developing and enhancing test software, with proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or similar object-oriented programming languages. Hardware Knowledge:

Expertise in working with Intel x86 architecture and flash storage hardware, with the ability to interpret hardware schematics and design test plans accordingly. Hardware/Software Debugging:

Demonstrated expertise in debugging hardware and software issues, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems within the manufacturing test environment, including failure analysis and troubleshooting across different platforms. Test Plan Development:

Ability to create detailed, robust test plans from hardware schematics and design documentation, ensuring comprehensive hardware validation. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Proven ability to communicate and drive requirements across diverse teams, including hardware design, software, and manufacturing. CM Communication and Proto Build Management:

Experience working with Contract Manufacturers, managing prototype builds, and ensuring smooth execution of test requirements. Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to improving test processes and software tools. Communication Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in software development for hardware manufacturing test tools. Bonus Qualifications: Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments. Lean Six Sigma certification. You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. The annual base salary range is: $163,000 - $246,000. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
