Position Summary:
The
Physician Assistant (PA) for Neuroscience/Neurosurgery
works within the acute care hospital setting in collaboration with a vibrant team of neurosurgeons, residents, and PAs in a highly rewarding academic hospital setting. No nights, no call, and no OR requirement. Responsibilities include: inpatient care, patient education, collaboration with consulting specialists, maintaining communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary health care teams, and precepting PA students. Primarily care for adult patients with various neurosurgical conditions including spinal disease, tumors/cancer, hydrocephalus, cerebrovascular disease, neurotrauma, and stereotactic/functional neurosurgery. The PA is an integral part of the care team. This is a unique opportunity to join a top neurosurgical academic medical center team. Shifts:
Full time (40 hours) Key Accountabilities: Evaluates the health condition of patients in providing safe, comprehensive clinical care. Application of evidence-based medicine pertinent to patients and their families to improve outcomes. Advances the knowledge of the inter-professional team through leading training and development programs to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Continuously
