Arena Investors, LP is a global investment management firm specializing in credit investing – both private and public. Due to a new investment mandate, Arena is vastly expanding its credit market investment strategy.
Arena’s Head of Software Development is looking for a hands-on IT Project Manager who will focus on vendor system integrations and proprietary software development agile SDLC. The right candidate will balance domain knowledge and communication skills to act in an internal consulting capacity. As a Project Manager, this position would drive projects from start to finish while working directly with business constituents in portfolio management, risk, and trading operations. This role is a consult-to-permanent hire role. The team is open to hiring someone in the NY or Miami area.
This is a great opportunity to be at the “ground floor” of a new business unit that will be Arena’s growth driver over the next 5 years. Ideal candidates will be organized, analytical, self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.
Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with senior stakeholders, including Portfolio Management, Trade Operations, and Fund Accounting to define project requirements and priorities. Resource Allocation: Coordinate internal and external resources, including IT staff, third-party vendors, and consultants, to ensure projects are properly staffed and delivered on time. Budget and Timeline Management: Develop and drive project plans and resource allocation; Coordinate SCRUM-based SDLC process with the development teams and technology vendors. Requirements and QA Management: Direct the business analyst team as they translate financial models and reports into technical specifications. Collaborate with business analysts.
