Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions to business questions. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will build the foundational data pipelines and data tables, analyze large data sets, prove and disprove hypotheses, automate solutions, and build self-service dashboards and reports. This person consistently employs high judgment and makes data-driven decisions, leading by example and influencing the team to do the same. Key job responsibilities

Apply advanced analytical techniques, such as statistical modeling and data mining, to derive actionable insights from complex, ambiguous data sets. Perform deep-dives and data analysis across multiple regions and/or globally to identify best practices and areas of opportunity. Provide recommendations based on analysis and insights. Conduct in-depth analyses of sales performance, churn, usage behavior across multiple regions and/or globally to identify and surface impactful recommendations. Develop and lead design and execution of global reporting solutions for business-to-consumer teams. Build self-service tools and dashboards that not only give aggregated metrics but also provide ways to pull customer-level performance insights. Work closely with Product teams, Data Scientists, Software developers, and Data Engineers to integrate upstream data sources and automated reporting outputs to downstream systems. Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of professional or military experience 5+ years of SQL experience Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results Experience with AWS technologies Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills. Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

for more information. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
