Alegeus Technologies develops and supports a complicated benefits software package utilizing real-time payment network transaction systems. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ASP.NET developer with a strong background in building scalable, high-quality and high-performance web applications on the Microsoft technology stack. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications. This person will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers, and business resources to build highly-performing enterprise systems. Major Responsibilities: T-SQL (Transact SQL) stored procedures and triggers. Database administrative experience. Experience working with Access applications and strong Excel skills. Build new systems with .NET 4.0/C#/ASP.NET/SQL Server 2008/WCF Web Services. Develop new functionality on our existing software products. Participate in an experienced, energetic team and contribute on a defined development schedule. All other responsibilities as assigned. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related area is preferred. Skills & Knowledge: Six (+) years’ experience as a developer (lead developer would be a plus). Three (+) years’ experience with ASP.NET. Two (+) years working with SQL Server (2005/2008 preferred). Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP). Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, including Visual Studio 2008/2010, ASP.NET, WCF Services, and ADO.NET. Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices. Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA). Ability to design, develop and optimize SQL Server 2008 stored procedures. Experience with jQuery or similar technologies. Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment. Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software. Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player with exceptional relationship management skills. Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices. Domain knowledge on payment processing, financial services systems, health insurance, healthcare IT systems, consumer-driven healthcare, or employee benefits processing is preferred.
