Core Responsibilities: Provide assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing systems Implement a communication system requirement to support distributed functionality of a software engineering environment Analyze network characteristics Troubleshoots network and system problems This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Network Engineer (T03) level or a Senior Principal Network Engineer (T04) level, depending on the qualifications outlined below. Basic Qualifications for the Principal Network Engineer (T03): Active SCI w/ CI Poly required at the time of application Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience, a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or 1 year with a PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Active CompTIA Security+ certification Ability to apply to Privileged User (PU) status prior to start date Basic Qualifications for the Senior Principal Network Engineer (T04): Active SCI w/ CI Poly required at the time of application Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 6 years of related experience or 4 years with a PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Active CompTIA Security+ certification Ability to apply to Privileged User (PU) status prior to start date Preferred Qualifications for both levels: Information Assurance (IA) experience related to Certification and Accreditation Linux and/or Windows System Admin knowledge is a definite plus Experience in developing networks from design through implementation Experience with CISCO Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) Experience with CISCO IOS or NX-OS Experience with network test gear to resolve technical issues at all layers of OSI model Experience configuring and maintaining Multicast networking Experience configuring routers for EIGRP, OSPF, IP Multicast Protocols Experience configuring firewalls Familiarity with the Agile methodology Salary Range:
$97,500 - $146,300 Salary Range 2:
$120,900 - $181,300 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
