This ministry comprises families with children K4 through 5th grade. We believe that children are not just the church of the future. They are the church of the present. We believe in a discipleship approach that offers our children a solid biblical foundation in an exciting, safe church context as they mature to own their faith. Candidates with a desire for ordained ministry in the Anglican Church context are highly encouraged to apply. Reports to:

Children’s Ministry Coordinator Job Description
Personal Discipleship
Must be committed to a growing personal relationship with Christ Value corporate worship and Christian community in personal discipleship Invest in healthy relationships with family and friends Commit to spiritual and ministry growth through the engagement of good spiritual disciplines: a prayer life, the study of God’s word, Christian fellowship, the exercise of one’s gifts, etc. Key Responsibilities
Be the primary teacher and pastoral presence for our children: Sunday Worship: Oversee the smooth running of the children’s section of the Sunday service (including the registration, safety protocols, curriculum, teaching, etc.) Sunday School: Provide support for the volunteer-run children’s Sunday School hour on Sundays Welcome: Be the primary welcomer of families with children. Connect and engage with them relationally. Volunteers: Engage, excite, and equip volunteers for this ministry Parents: Support parents by resourcing them with relevant, beneficial materials for the discipleship of their children Occasional Events: Plan occasional events to benefit parents and families with children. Also, occasionally coordinate special children’s programs Parish Communication: Use the church’s communication avenues to excite the church about the children’s ministry Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Experience in a children’s discipleship ministry is a big advantage A clear testimony of humble and vibrant faith in the Lord Jesus Christ Desired Strengths
Communication skills in a children’s ministry context Organizational skills Relational skills: Someone for whom connecting with families will come naturally Some cross-cultural experience will be an advantage Ability to understand a church’s vision and work well with the senior pastor Other Expectations
A reasonable level of participation in the general life of the church Attendance at staff meetings Regular 1:1 meetings with the Sr. Pastor Ability to work well in a team ministry context Enjoys and encourages a fun environment in the ministry To Apply:
