A Day in the Life
Medtronic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manual Medical Device Test Engineer to join our Affera Mapping and Ablation System team. This role is essential in supporting the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of our advanced medical devices. The Manual Medical Device Test Engineer will be an integral member of the Affera Software Team, working on cutting-edge technology in the electrophysiology field. This role offers a rare chance to be at the forefront of developing a groundbreaking technology that can disrupt the industry. The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing, developing and testing real-time high-performance visualization applications. They will take ownership of key features while working collaboratively with other engineering teams, and are passionate about working on a product that will have a positive impact on the lives of millions. About the Affera Mapping and Ablation System
The Affera Mapping and Ablation System is an innovative medical technology designed to treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias. The system involves advanced mapping techniques to create detailed images of the heart's electrical activity, helping physicians identify abnormal areas causing arrhythmias. Once identified, the Affera Ablation System delivers targeted energy to disrupt these abnormal signals, restoring normal heart rhythm. This role will sit 100% onsite at 320 Nevada St. #401, Newton, MA 02460 and would require up to 25% regional travel. Primary Responsibilities
Test the functionality and performance of the systems software. Develop and execute manual test plans and scripts designed to detect problems. Ensure systems software meets technical and functional requirements. Perform workflow analysis, document test results and recommend quality improvements. Work with engineers to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications
Experience debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators. Experience writing technical reports. Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Physical Job Requirements

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $79,200.00 - $118,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
