The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Smithsonian Institution’s Office of Smithsonian Facilities (SF), Office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR). The Office of Facilities Management and Reliability provides the full range of building services through maintenance and operational zones.
GS-11 Experience:
You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system.
For this position, specialized experience is defined as interpreting plans and specifications during construction; conducting on-site inspections of projects to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and other requirements of contracts; or supervising crafts/trades persons engaged in construction work of facilities, provided the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications. Or Education:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., related to the position. Or a Combination:
