Develop, implement, and maintain GIS applications and tools using industry-standard software and programming languages. Integrate geospatial data with web applications, enterprise systems, and third-party platforms. Customize GIS software solutions (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to meet specific project requirements. Create and manage spatial databases, ensuring data integrity and usability. Perform geospatial analysis to support decision-making and create high-quality visualizations and maps. Develop automated workflows using scripting languages like Python to improve efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design GIS solutions tailored to their needs. Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems. Provide technical support, documentation, and training to users of GIS applications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS software and systems. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS development or software engineering. Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C#. Experience with web development frameworks. Proficiency in working with spatial databases such as SQL Server. Knowledge of APIs and web services. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and GIS integrations is a plus. Strong understanding of geospatial principles, data formats, and coordinate systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Familiarity with machine learning and AI techniques for geospatial analysis.
