Job ID: 2840977 | Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC As a Sustaining Electrical Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to sustain and improve the design of critical satellite hardware. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

You will work within the RF Hardware Engineering team to debug failures at the CM and at Kuiper. This will be a hands-on position to support all design validation, manufacturing test, and reliability aspects of design and development, including alternate source component selection and qualification. You will drive system validation activities for new product development, implement design changes for sustaining products, resolve technical issues for the manufacturing process, and perform failure analysis for Acceptance Test (ATP) failed units.

In this role, you will:

Debug failing PCBAs in manufacturing and acceptance tests. Perform DFM and DFMEA reviews within the RF HW design group, with CM and suppliers. Develop system test plans for design validation. Define test methodology and test coverage to assure product reliability. Monitor quality metrics from design validation manufacturing test, acceptance test (ATP), and reliability.

Export Control Requirement

The RF Hardware and Systems team is full of talented engineers who are the best of the best. They cover a wide range of technical areas from power supplies, high-speed digital, mixed signal, and RF. Members of this team need to be comfortable in multiple domains.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent Experience in hardware design or testing experience on electronic devices. Knowledge of Linux-based systems bring-up. Experience in hardware debug of analog, digital, and high-speed circuitry Experience using test instruments such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers. Experience with reliability test methodologies such as HALT, HASS. Exposure to high volume manufacturing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with FPGAs and processors Familiarity with DC power supply designs. Familiarity with analog electronics fundamentals (transistor, op-amps, filters, etc). Knowledge of RF Design and testing. Knowledge of signal integrity and timing on PCB layout.
