Basic: • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology. Preferred: Azure Architecture Direction & Strategy: • Expected to work with lead architects, developers, and project managers to create and communicate Azure Platform specific architectural direction, design, and plan a critical program to migrate to Azure platform. • Facilitate working sessions across multiple systems/teams in addressing Azure specific architectural, design, and performance SOW and subsequent issues. Release Planning/Definition for Azure Migration: • Provide input for scope via user stories/features needed to be worked by teams to enable the Azure Migration to be successful. Software Development Lifecycle: • Generate/Approve Features documentation from an Azure architectural and system perspective. • Generate/approve architectural designs/decisions from an Azure architectural and system perspective. • Address Azure related issues from an architectural and system perspective arising from the analysis, design, test, and implementation of the system that affects functionality, data, usability, performance, and business processes. • Communicate and teach leads and Domain Teams involved in Azure Migration Strategy and plan. • Validate system changes as a result of Azure migration. • Assist in resolution of issues that arise as a part of Azure migration. SAFe Responsibilities (System Architect): • Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the product suite solution, and explore solution alternatives in relation to Azure migration. • Define subsystems and their interfaces; allocate responsibilities to subsystems; understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with the Azure Migration solution context. • Work with Lead Architect, Lead Product Manager, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish solution intent of the Azure migration of the application product suite. • Establish critical non-functional requirements that may arise as a result of migrating to Azure. • Work with Enterprise Architect and Lead Architect to ensure compliance and conformity to larger Program architecture standards and guidelines. • Work with Program team to manage Azure Migration related SOW through Program Backlog. • Participate in Planning and System Demos when Azure migration SOW is involved. At least 2 years of experience architecting Java/J2EE applications (Web/Mobile/Desktop application). Extensive Systems Architecture experience. Extensive Azure Application Migration experience with Java-based applications. Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to transform complex business requirements into technical design specifications. Strong hands-on experience in developing J2EE Web applications supporting both traditional and mobile user interfaces. Experience preferred in Spring MVC, Spring Batch, and OWASP web application security frameworks. Experienced in application build using Microservices architecture and aware of best practices regarding Microservices architecture. Experience in Azure related tools/technologies (Primary skills) – Windows Azure, Azure SDK, RDS in Azure, Cloud Security, PaaS service in Azure and Security Management, Azure Web Role Worker Role, Azure Active Directory, Blob Storage, Azure Websites, websockets, real-time BI dashboards, Visual Studio Team Server, SQL Server. Proficiency in programming with different Java IDEs like Eclipse or NetBeans. Proficiency in the following would be an added plus (Secondary skills): • Proficiency in Hibernate and the O/R mapping to map Java domain objects with the database, Spring framework to easily configure J2EE applications. • Javascript, Angular 2.0 (and above), SignalR, Node.js. Experience in SQL, PL/SQL to write Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, and strong experience in RDBMS. Knowledge and working experience with Cloud Foundry. Experience in implementing web-based projects using Web/Application Servers - Apache Tomcat 8. Expertise in source control and deployment tools like GIT Lab, Team Foundation Server, Jenkins, etc. Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment. Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint. Analytical skills. Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel. Additional Information
