Looking for a highly motivated, experienced Sr. Network Security Engineer. The individual needs to be highly technical and analytical with strong verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities:
One or more of the following
certifications is highly desired: CSSP, CISSP, CCSK, GSEC, CCNA. Document function, physical location, and departmental ownership of many devices on the network. Conduct vulnerability scanning. Cross-check across all firewalls. Proficient in WAN, LAN, WLAN design and implementation. Communicate, present, and discuss vulnerabilities with infrastructure teams, systems engineers, and cloud infrastructure teams. Act as the subject matter expert for network-based security. Recommend or apply appropriate security controls. Possess expert knowledge of networking technologies and firewall configurations. Understand network security best practices. Manually evaluate firewall logs and network infrastructure diagrams to identify security gaps. Demonstrate high technical aptitude and experience in Information/Cyber Security. Have experience and understanding of multiple security platforms and layers including Firewalls, Proxy servers, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Application Firewalls, and Logging Correlation. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to technical or non-technical personnel. Achieve tasks independently with little direction. Understand Network Infrastructure and fundamentals of Switches, Router, and VLAN configurations.
