Rain Bird is looking for an Enterprise Architect of Back Office Systems to join our team. The Enterprise Architect of Back Office Systems defines, maintains, and aligns back-office applications to EA goals, principles & guardrails. Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include: Define and maintain the architecture for back-office applications, ensuring alignment with Rain Bird's enterprise architecture goals, principles, and guardrails. Assess the existing back-office application portfolio, identifying opportunities for consolidation, modernization, and optimization. Collaborate with IT leaders and managers to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of back-office applications and data with other enterprise systems, applications, and technologies. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms relevant to back-office systems. Engage with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure alignment of back-office systems with business needs. Enforce governance processes, policies, and standards for back-office systems. Identify and mitigate risks associated with back-office systems, including data security, privacy, and compliance risks. Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and architectural artifacts related to back-office systems. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include: In-depth knowledge and experience (6+ years) in enterprise architecture & frameworks and information technology, preferably in the manufacturing and software industries. Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect, with a focus on back-office systems. Strong knowledge of back-office applications such as ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems. Proficiency in application integration patterns, protocols, and technologies. Experience in evaluating and selecting technologies, tools, and platforms for back-office systems. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating the business value of enterprise architecture initiatives. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Desired qualifications include: Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF).
