About the Conservatory Lab Foundation: The Conservatory Lab Foundation (the Foundation) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides philanthropic support, and holds assets on behalf of the Conservatory Lab Charter School (Conservatory Lab), where every student receives daily orchestral musical instruction. About Conservatory Lab Charter School: Founded in 1999, Conservatory Lab currently enrolls approximately 450 K-8 students. Its mission is to empower a diverse range of children as scholars, artists, and leaders through a unique and rigorous academic and music education. About the Institutional Giving Manager position: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Institutional Giving Manager (the Manager) is responsible for approximately two-thirds of the Annual Fund. The Manager maintains contact with existing Institutional Donors, including sending regular updates and scheduling visits to the Conservatory Lab as appropriate. The Institutional Giving Manager is responsible for: Maintaining a Tracker of its donors and prospects. Identifying required deadlines for proposals and reports. Establishing additional school events of interest for each donor. Drafting and submitting required proposals and reports. Building and maintaining a relationship with each donor. Attending board, school, and other meetings as needed. Building relationships with School administrators and teachers to identify needs. Gift Stewardship and solicitation: Ensuring that all donors in the Institutional portfolio receive appropriate acknowledgment letters and correspondence. Distributing gift reports and donor thank you call sheets to the Executive Director and appropriate Board members. Processing gifts in accordance with gift policies and procedures. Supporting other donor recognition and stewardship efforts. Required Skills & Experience: Strong written, research, and verbal communications skills. Strong understanding of social media. Excellent planning and coordination ability. Comfort reporting and working with senior leadership. Familiarity with social justice, music and the arts, and K-12 education. High energy, positive, can-do attitude, flexibility and teamwork. The ability to appropriately deal with competing deadlines and expectations. Facilitation of emerging technologies, donor databases, and online giving platforms. Salary and Benefits: The Institutional Giving Manager shall receive a salary of $58,000. Benefits include three weeks paid vacation, an employer-sponsored health and dental plan, and retirement plan.
