Job Summary: The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer provides technical expertise and support, and project leadership for IT infrastructure, including LAN and WAN technologies, servers and storage hardware, data center networking equipment, operating systems, cloud systems, and backups. This includes the implementation and maintenance of operating systems and software components, aiding in the development and assessment of hardware and software components, recommending optimum equipment and software configurations, and providing technical guidance with regard to proper data processing methods, performance standards, security measures, and systems analysis. The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will also assist with project planning and will help define requirements, schedules, and deliverables for IT infrastructure projects. Job Description: Working under the direction of the Associate Director of Infrastructure Services, the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and maintain network and systems solutions based on business requirements, including: Manage, maintain, and optimize LAN and WAN infrastructure. Configure, manage, and maintain networking equipment such as firewalls, VPN, and load balancers. Configuring and troubleshooting advanced network protocols, including DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, SIP, SNMP, ICMP. Responsible for network hardware, operating system, and application configuration, installation, testing, and management. Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues to ensure maximum uptime and performance. Perform routine administrative tasks (e.g., backups, monitoring, upgrades). Conduct regular network audits to identify areas for improvement. Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, topologies, and procedures. Provide training on software and systems to other employees. Coordinate new vendor equipment installations and perform acceptance testing. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions. Minimal Qualifications: 1.

College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT Systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) B.

Work experience in IT-related functions such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field, which includes supervisory or lead worker capacity. 2.
