Identyfikator pracy: 2855723 | Amazon.com Services LLC The Sr. Hardware Quality Engineering Manager (QEM) is responsible for ensuring that our products are designed for quality and continue to meet our customers’ high expectations during the life of the product. They will focus on product quality deliverables during our product launch and sustaining. The successful candidate will establish quality goals and monitor performance, investigate with the full suite of failure analysis tools, influencing root cause and subsequent closed loop corrective action. Leads quality lesson’s learned and institutes remedies to prevent re-occurrence of quality issues and possess a high sense of urgency when managing critical issues. Their responsibility will require knowledge across a broad scope of quality, from factory process controls to customer service complaint handling.

Key job responsibilities: Identify risks and work with the appropriate product development and sustaining engineering functions to ensure that critical and high-risk items are resolved prior to shipping a product and do not make it into the next generation product. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the job, deal with ambiguity, and influence at all levels of the company. Understand the technology and functionality of Consumer Robotics products, and assess the risk to a negative customer experience, preventing it during development. Analyze field data to establish specific product quality issues and drive a closed loop corrective action within the organization. Guide cross-functional teams in Design for Quality initiatives. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of standards, related disciplines, company strategy, and goals, to ensure a positive customer experience. Deliver solutions to complex problems through in-depth data analysis and forensics using methodical approaches, experience, innovation, and judgment. Understand detailed implications of decisions and recommendations and communicate recommended solutions to the product development team, up to the executive team. Align cross-functionally, influencing a broad spectrum of stakeholders to deliver on the quality policy. Create standards around which others will operate and build consensus. Establish specific quality-related functional milestones during New Product Introduction (NPI) & Sustaining. Up to 30% of domestic and international travel is required.

PODSTAWOWE KWALIFIKACJE

BSME/BSIE/BSEE/BSCE or related Engineering degree. 10+ years of working experience in an engineering or quality role. 5+ years of practice experience with statistical tools and strong quality engineering leadership. Familiar with NPI cycles and Product Development Process for consumer electronics industry. Good understanding of electronic assembly processes mostly on consumer electronics. Solid understanding and demonstrated success with practical applications of Lean / Six Sigma tools such as Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, Measurement System Analysis, Analysis of Variance, Hypothesis Testing, Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Charts, Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility, Cpk. Technical knowledge of conducting process audits and formulating plans to drive continual quality improvements within the factory operations.

PREFEROWANE KWALIFIKACJE

Master’s Degree with either MSME/MSIE/MSEE/BSCE. Six Sigma Green/Black belt, ASQ CQE/M/A certifications are highly desired. Understanding of technology, at the system and commodity level as well as software and usability. Design experience in different engineering aspects, such as EE, Mechanical, RF, IC, Display, etc. Must be self-motivated/self-directed, able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and flawlessly.
