We are looking for a

Director of IT Audit

to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. Responsibilities Develop and implement a risk-based IT audit plan that aligns with organizational goals, addressing key technology risks and emerging threats in collaboration with the overall internal audit strategy. Lead, mentor, and develop the IT audit team, fostering an environment of high performance and professional growth. Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to carry out complex IT audits effectively. Oversee and conduct audits of IT systems, applications, network infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and data governance to assess adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls and processes. Ensure IT audit processes align with industry best practices, such as COBIT, ISO, and NIST frameworks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, SOX, and HIPAA, and ensure compliance. Collaborate with the Risk Management and Information Security teams to assess IT-related risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make actionable recommendations to enhance security and compliance. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, IT leaders, and the Audit Committee. Clearly and effectively communicate audit findings, risk exposure, and recommendations for improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field. 10+ years of IT audit experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of IT audit frameworks, cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and internal controls. Proven experience with regulatory compliance standards (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA) and IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ISO, NIST). Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
