Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon)
is seeking a highly motivated individual for a
Software Developer
position to assist in ongoing development of a cloud-based licensing application. Candidates considered for employment within the ALI development organization must be well-rounded, self-motivated, and team players. Candidates must be able to adapt quickly, by learning methodologies and technologies through formal and ad-hoc training as well as on-the-job training. The candidate will be working on a team that is focused on providing licensing and telemetry to the Hexagon ALI suite of products. Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Work in a Scrum team environment with a talented group of professional software developers. Assignments require the use of independent judgment, and the application of programming/software principles, theories, concepts, and design patterns appropriate for each application. Duties include intermittent on-call requirements for technical support, limited to 2-3 days/month from 8AM-8PM Central. Education / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with 3 to 5 years of hands-on software development experience. Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical thinking skills required. Good verbal and written communication skills. Skills in Mobile development, C#, .NET, C++. Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, Object-Oriented Design, and Data Structures. Working knowledge of .Net Framework. Genuinely excited about technology, with a strong interest in learning and playing with the latest technologies. Understanding of agile software development methodology (scrum) is a plus.
