Perioperative Services Nursing Director

This highly regarded community medical center is led by a Perioperative Services Nursing Director who oversees cutting-edge surgical services and champions patient-centered care. The facility features advanced surgical suites, including a hybrid room and a minor procedural room, and offers a comprehensive range of services, from orthopedics and ENT to spine, neuro, and vascular procedures. The RN Director Surgical Services reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and collaborates closely with medical staff and other department leaders to ensure seamless care delivery. This position oversees a team of 20 OR professionals, including RNs and surgical techs, while working in partnership with the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). The operating suite features seven operating rooms, a hybrid room, and a minor procedural room, handling an average of fifteen to twenty cases daily. Surgical cases include ortho, ENT, breast, spine, neuro, GU, vascular, and general surgery. The RN Director Surgical Services will lead clinical quality improvement initiatives, mentor and develop staff, and oversee education programs to ensure clinical competencies. On the administrative side, the role includes budgeting, operational planning, staffing, and fostering strong physician relationships to optimize surgical care delivery.
