Project Manager
The Project Manager is a critical role whose primary focus will be managing Divert’s greenfield projects. The position reports to the Senior Director - Project Execution.
What you’ll do:
On-site presence at assigned project work site to ensure adherence to the contract and monitor all aspects of project execution such as safety, quality, progress, and management of change
Work closely with the contractors (onsite and offsite) to establish relationships conducive of collaboration and accountability
Responsible for the implementation of the Management of Change process
Responsible for the management of project controls such as project integrated schedule, progress tracking, cost tracking and forecast, etc.. Budget responsibilities will include approval of goods receipt, endorse payments based on milestone completion or progress, changes approval as per the management of change process, releasing commitments within approved budgets
Management of the Request for Information (RFI) process and ensure timely and accurate responses
Participation in constructability and 3D model reviews
Management of site Safety processes implementation and incident management
Management of site Quality processes implementation, including ITP’s implementation, NCR/CAR stewarding and closure, mechanical completion, receiving inspections, preservation, etc.
Management of work site compliance with permits conditions and regulatory requirements
Interfacing with regulatory officials as required to coordinate site visits, permit issuance and compliance
Key participant and stakeholder in contracting and procurement, supports the Divert contracting group in the development of RFP (Request for Proposal) documents, bidding process and award recommendation
Own and support the development of deliverables required for a gated project management process
Support commissioning and startup of projects
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
5-8 years previous experience in an industrial project environment.
Previous experience in commissioning and startup would be an asset
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, detail oriented, multi tasked person
Ability to travel to Divert sites
Proficiency in the use of office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
