E2 is seeking a Licensed Civil or Structural Engineer with natural gas pipeline design, construction, and maintenance projects experience. This role involves coordinating all phases of the integrity evaluation process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders. Coordinates and directs small to large projects and tasks, including development of work scope, budget, and schedule. Coordinates input from, and participation with, various departments within the company as needed to meet project objectives. Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and oversee the construction and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure. Gather data, perform calculations and prepare designs to develop technically sound findings, conclusions and recommendations. Follow up on implementation of recommendations and acceptance of conclusions to assess accuracy and completeness. Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for pipeline projects. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to execute projects on time and within budget. Conduct site inspections, provide technical solutions, and address construction-related challenges. Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, permits, and regulatory filings. Support the client's team with risk assessments, feasibility studies, and design modifications. Interpret state and federal codes, industry standards and Gas Standards for clients. Provide direction to contractors, consultants, technical specialists and the remainder of the project team. Qualifications
Requirements: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Civil or Structural Engineering in the State of California (required). B.S. in Engineering required; Master's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering desirable. 3-5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on natural gas pipeline design and construction projects. Strong understanding of pipeline engineering standards (e.g., ASME B31.8, DOT Regulations CFR 49 Parts 191-192 and GO-112). Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, GIS, or pipeline modeling tools. Knowledge of Finite Element Modeling of piping stress, such as Caesar II is highly desirable. Requires knowledge of mechanical engineering practices and concepts, cost analysis, operating practices and policies, understanding of systematic/scientific approaches to problem solving, and the ability to apply them in daily operations. Familiarity with utility permitting, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance processes. Skills and Competencies: Must possess the ability to review problems and propose practical solutions, which involve technical, operational, and economic issues, and may link new concepts and technologies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety standards. Coordinates the activities of, and has overall responsibility for, multiple concurrent projects, which require the ability to plan and manage workload so that assignments are completed on time and in proper priority. Must possess the ability to be proactive and effectively interact with various departments to maintain open lines of communication. Benefits
