Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Payer Relations Director
to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with payers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with our organizational goals. This role is critical to optimizing reimbursement strategies, maintaining compliance, and fostering strong partnerships with insurers and other healthcare stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead negotiations and manage contracts with health plans, insurers, and other payers to secure favorable terms and rates. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with payer organizations to enhance collaboration and address operational challenges. Monitor and analyze market trends, reimbursement policies, and regulatory changes to inform payer strategies. Work closely with the revenue cycle, legal, and clinical teams to align payer strategies with organizational objectives. Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations related to payer contracts and reimbursements. Identify and resolve issues related to payer performance, claims processing, and reimbursement accuracy. Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on payer-related initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in payer relations, contract negotiation, or healthcare management. In-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models, including value-based care and fee-for-service arrangements. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
