What you will do:
Grow in a fulfilling career as a
Transportation Security Officer
at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while ensuring passenger safety by identifying and preventing unsafe objects from entering onto aircraft.
Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:
Passenger and Baggage Screening
Operating various screening equipment.
Communicating and interacting with travelers
What you will need:
Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
Be at least 18 years of age
Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
Be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
Must possess customer service skills
Pass a computerized assessment (grammar and ability to interpret X-rays)
Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam)
Pass pre-employment drug test
Pass a TSA background and financial records check
Ability to work any day, Monday - Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM
Minimum Clearance to Start: Public Trust
What we offer:
Starting pay for this position is $30.38/hour after successful training and certification. Pay levels for current officers are determined based on years of service and certifications.
No prior experience is necessary.
Receive on-the-job training and travel accommodations for a 2-week training session in Georgia to become a certified officer.
