The Western Digital Engineering team is looking to bring on an experienced Photolithography Process Development Engineer to be part of the Wafer Fabrication team. The position will be responsible for developing advanced photolithography wafer processes that will lead the way for next generation magnetic head fabrication. The position will offer a challenging environment that includes advanced process development tasks, developing robust photo processes to support new design features, driving CDU and overlay improvement, performing photo material evaluations, reticle layout, and OPC development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the development and optimization of photolithography processes for cutting-edge semiconductor technologies Design and execute experiments to improve process performance, yield, and efficiency Analyze complex data sets and implement statistical process control methods to enhance manufacturing capabilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new processes into existing production flows Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to photolithography equipment and processes Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for photolithography processes Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in photolithography and semiconductor manufacturing Mentor junior engineers and technicians on photolithography best practices Contribute to the development of intellectual property and technical publications REQUIRED Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field 5+ years of experience in photolithography process development within the semiconductor industry Advanced knowledge of photolithography processes and semiconductor manufacturing techniques Expertise in process optimization and design of experiments (DOE) Proficiency with lithography equipment from major manufacturers (e.g., ASML, Nikon) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach Experience with data analysis and statistical process control methods Familiarity with cleanroom environments and protocols Demonstrated track record of successful process improvements and optimizations SKILLS Excellent communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of advanced node technology and current industry trends Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience with relevant software tools for process modeling and data analysis Western Digital is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and employees and will not discriminate against any applicant or employee based on their race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, medical condition, marital status, physical or mental disability, or other legally protected characteristics. Compensation & Benefits Details An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, and experience; skills, ability, knowledge of the job; performance, contribution and results; geographic location; shift; internal and external equity; and business and organizational needs. The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future. You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.
