Key Responsibilities:
Synthesis:
Assist in the synthesis of oligonucleotides using automated synthesizers. Follow established protocols and ensure accuracy in reagent preparation and reaction conditions. Purification:
Perform purification of oligonucleotides using techniques such as FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) and HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). Monitor purification processes to achieve high-quality results. Analysis:
Analytical assays will be conducted to verify the quality and identity of synthesized oligonucleotides using LC-MS. Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results. Ensure all documentation is compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements. Lab Maintenance:
Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment. Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed. Collaboration:
Work closely with senior chemists and other team members to support ongoing projects. Contribute to problem-solving discussions. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 1-2 years’ experience or Master’s degree with 0-1 years’ experience. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Skills: Basic understanding of organic chemistry and chemical synthesis. Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and conveying technical information clearly. Hands-on experience in solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis is a plus. Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm with overtime as needed.
