SCCU accounts Network Architect Compensation Range $145,221.70 - $154,692.68 (Central FL) $148,798.49 - $158,502.74 (South FL) In this role, the Network Architect will maintain configuration consistency, conduct thorough testing, and perform version upgrades. The candidate must have thorough knowledge on VLAN, Routing, IPSEC Tunneling, VOIP, SIP Trunks, Switch stacking, VTP, trunk ports, port channels, and a solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model. This role will serve as a technical subject matter expert by actively participating in configuration design, consultation, vendor evaluation, and problem resolution of multiple systems. The candidate must have a clear understanding of how to research, design, implement and troubleshoot Networking architecture, information systems, cloud technologies and technology solutions in support of business needs. Under limited supervision, the candidate will be required to effectively manage and prioritize assigned projects, design complex multi-system solutions to meet the needs of the business. They will be required to make recommendations in these areas with a high level of technical competency. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Design, planning, and implementation of a large, complex WAN/LAN and data center infrastructure. Configuration of new and existing routers/switches utilizing templates along with best practices. Network monitoring of Branches, ATM’s, client VPN, Site to Site tunnels, Firewalls, and Load Balancing. Administers and manages Space Coast Credit Union and related infrastructure. Ensures the systems are functioning at optimal levels. Specifies, procures, and implements network/firewall technologies. Evaluates factors such as vendor specifications, number of departments and employees serviced by network equipment, bandwidth of transactions, time requirements, cost constraints, security requirements, access restrictions and business continuity to determine hardware/software configurations. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of network equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and systems, that will provide capability for proposed projects/workload, efficient operation, effective use of networks and system recoverability. Troubleshoot applications as necessary. Participates in information technology projects and is accountable to tasks, milestone dates and statuses. Documents related technical procedures, operations manuals, and other guidance. This person also acts as a liaison between Space Coast Credit Union and vendors regarding system related issues. Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network systems and applications. Recognize and troubleshoot problems with network hardware and applications software. Establish and maintain system documentation, standards and procedures. Provides after hours on-call support for critical production systems as needed. Periodically works evenings/weekends while implementing or repairing hardware or software so as not to impact the daily production systems. This also includes participating in monthly system patching. Configures Firewall NAT, PBR, ACL, object grouping, VPN tunneling, DMZ, WAF security, HA and upgrades. Establishes and maintains DR/DA architecture configurations. May provide training for other IT staff as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must demonstrate knowledge of EIGRP, OSPF, IPSEC Tunnel, VTP, Port Channels, MPLS, HSRP, BGP, VOIP, HTTPS, SMTP, SSH, IP, SFTP, SD-WAN, OTV, VXLAN, NAT, PBR, ACL. Cisco CCNP, CCIE R/S certifications preferred. Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the minimum level of knowledge, skills and/or ability required. Education & Experience: 10+ years prior experience as a Network Architect or in a related position, including responsibility for the design and planning of large network infrastructure. A 4 year college degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related academic area or equivalent experience is required. Physical Demands: Work requires light or a low amount of physical exertion. The need for physical stamina and endurance is of minimum or low significance. Body movement usually involves sitting and intermittent walking. Working Conditions: No adverse environmental working conditions.
