Performs experiments on a small scale to assess process changes/improvements. Evaluates the performance and suitability of new technologies and processes changes by testing and reporting different critical parameters. Performs trials and experiments, participates in the design and scale-up of new technologies. Conducts routine analytical tests to evaluate and control product yield, purity, and impurity profiles. Works closely with other lab team members to support the upkeep, maintenance, and efficient utilization of the lab. Writes SOPs, batch records, and develops research outlines for development projects. Utilizes robust statistical analysis to draw appropriate conclusions from the data. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2+ years of relevant experience. Proven knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (GMP, FDA, etc.). Strong knowledge of protein purification techniques with proven experience in protein process development. Strong knowledge of analytical tools for analysis of proteins. Experienced with design of experiments (DOE). Understanding of six sigma and lean manufacturing is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work in a cold environment and controlled environments requiring special gowning. Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs. and lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments and client engagements. The offered salary may be adjusted based on various factors such as the applicant's qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
