Model-Based System Engineer (Level ll)
General Position Description:
Mission Focused Systems Inc. (MFS) is looking for a self-motivated MID Engineer to support Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) in support of Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Project Overmatch Office for the development of networks, infrastructure, data architecture, tools and analytics that will comprise the Naval Operational Architecture (NOA). Engineering support services include architecture definitions and designs, configuration definition and integration with other shore and afloat systems and coalition interfaces/systems.
Job Description:
Requirements for the successful candidate include:
3 years of professional experience performing Model-Based Systems Engineering principles.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team, taking tasking from more senior MBSE personnel.
Knowledge of the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Experience with cross-platform collaborative MBSE/digital environments or equivalent (e.g., MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx System Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, System Architect, etc.), which provide tools to design, track, visualize, and analyze all aspects of systems in standard-compliant models and diagrams.
Knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework/Unified Architecture Framework (DoDAF/UAF).
Ability to apply modeling to support system or System of Systems requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle phases.
Ability to support system interoperability efforts.
Ability to produce reports to support the management of MBSE/digital environment activities and decision making.
Ability to utilize model data to enable the creation of a digital thread across other engineering disciplines (e.g., cyber and configuration management).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, operations research, or other sciences where the utilization of advanced math skills is required (e.g., business, mathematics, statistics, and probability).
Desired skills:
Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing.
Willingness to learn and contribute to the Overmatch mission.
System modeling familiarity.
Familiarity with tools to design, track, visualize, and analyze all aspects of systems in standard-compliant models and diagrams (e.g., MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx System Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, System Architect, etc.).
Clearance Requirements:
Active Top-Secret Clearance and/or be eligible for a Top-Secret Clearance with a successful background investigation completed.
