The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan is seeking

fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

to join our academic department and faculty clinical practice. Academic rank to be determined. The right candidate should demonstrate a commitment to the surgical education and career development of trainees and fellow faculty. Experience at an academic medical center is desired, but not required. The MIGS practice provides care for complex benign gynecologic conditions, with an emphasis on advanced minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic, robotic-assisted, and advanced hysteroscopic procedures. We perform fertility-sparing surgeries and care for patients with fibroids and advanced endometriosis. We also provide consultative evaluation for medical, interventional, or surgical management of gynecologic pain conditions. The successful candidate will join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a full faculty member in the Wayne State University School of Medicine, which includes Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Certified Midwifery Divisions. We are currently training 40 residents and 6 MFM fellows, in addition to providing teaching and mentoring services to over 300 medical students, allied programs, and basic science learners. In addition, departmental and institutional support is in place for basic science, translational, and clinical research for the motivated individual through our departmental C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development. New graduates and experienced Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeons are encouraged to apply.
