As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. CloudWatch is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team building the next generation of monitoring, observability, and incident management services on AWS. You will design, build, and operate massively scaled and highly available systems to provide observability into AWS services, applications, and infrastructure to millions of customers worldwide. Key Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Design, implement, test, and deploy highly scalable distributed systems and services Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions while understanding system interdependencies and limitations Share knowledge of effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods Create clear, maintainable, well-documented code that meets coding standards and best practices Participate in code reviews, source control management, build processes, release management, and operations Work closely across teams and disciplines to deliver high-quality products and services BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
