Structural Steel Engineer

Structural Steel Manager , you will have the opportunity to: Participate in project safety programs, observations, and audits. Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with project-related tasks. Assist in identifying and promoting changes to improve productivity and quality on the project. Effectively communicate with Project Owner/Designer/Architect/Engineering regarding project schedule, issues, and activities occurring on the project. Develop RFI’s, work plans, and submittals for the project. Track and report quantities of work performed and understand associated costs of such. Develop time and material final pricing submittals. Assist with CPM schedule development and maintenance. Maintain as-built drawings with assistance from field staff. Perform project-specific tasks assigned by higher-level manager. Understand and communicate contract scope to field staff. Perform other related duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in structural steel erection, heavy civil construction, bridge, vertical construction, or other steel structures. Experience actively interfacing with fabricators, subcontractors, & owners to resolve design issues, procurement issues, and constructability issues. Coordination of contract drawings, design drawings, and shop drawings to facilitate an erectable final structure. Experience actively interfacing with design engineers & construction engineers to develop thorough "means & methods" process. Accurately realize "to-date" costs and project "final" costs through completion. Proficiency with MS Office products (Word/Excel). Excellent written and verbal skills. The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $185,000 depending on experience. Tutor Perini builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
