Responsibilities

Serve the Client – understand and exceed our client’s needs both internal and external. Perform project management duties and serve as primary client liaison - oversees work plan execution, provides periodic internal and client-facing status reports, generates invoices and manages the project budget, oversees development and distribution of deliverables, and manages day-to-day communication and coordination with client team. Grow the Business – contribute to our practice relationships and growth by understanding the market and business impact. Assist in strategic business planning efforts and lead assigned growth initiatives across geographies and services in the public sector; lead business development efforts by teaming with partners and senior managers on proposals and other business development efforts. Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews. Actively participate in recruiting talent to the firm. Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars on a regular basis. Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree within business, finance, accounting, or public administration; MBA/MPA desirable but not required. Ten (10) plus years of progressive related consulting experience, including at least five (5) years serving as a project manager in managing similarly sized projects as described. Knowledge of public sector operations broadly, specific knowledge or experience in a public sector setting - state or local government, public utility, transit, or K-12 schools. Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required. Broad understanding of management and risk consulting concerns including business process efficiency, internal controls, technology and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, finance/accounting/human resource/information technology/etc. business functions. Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties. Strong understanding of the professional services industry and ability to develop and deliver on a business plan for a team of consultants. Ability to train team members and peers and serve in a mentor role. For California, Colorado, New York, Virginia (DC Office) and Washington: The compensation range for this role is $215,950 to $467,880. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
