23318BR Cloud Engineer Woodson Annex - Information Technology Description Performs all technological activities associated with cloud computing, including implementation, installation, troubleshooting, reporting, and oversight for cloud infrastructure and related cloud services; assists with the management, support, and oversight of the virtual servers and cloud networks in FCPS cloud environments and business continuity processes; implements configurations that meet program security requirements and customer needs; and provides ongoing support of cloud storage and backup infrastructure. Qualifications Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Four (4) years of experience in developing, implementing and maintaining cloud data center infrastructure environments, computer operating software systems, database servers, or infrastructure development.

Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of server and systems engineering, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, cloud-based infrastructure, and data center infrastructure management. Knowledge of DevOps in modern cloud environments and skilled in using DevOps tools for source control, configuration management, automation, containerization, and orchestration. Knowledge of emerging technologies for enterprise design and integration, and system design and implementation practices. Knowledge of cloud migration techniques and workflows (on-premise to cloud platforms). Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations including HIPAA, CIPA, and FERPA. Knowledge of and skilled in Amazon Web Services (AWS), G Suite for Education, Microsoft 365, and data center and virtualization technologies. Skill in DevOps tools such as Git, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes. Skill in migrating infrastructure and workloads from on-premise datacenter to public cloud environments and services, such as AWS, Azure, and Google. Skill in large scale data center migrations. Ability to ensure that Windows and Linux systems meet operating and functionality requirements. Ability to perform scripting administration tasks and reporting using relevant coding and scripting technology and developing scripts for automating processes (such as GAM scripts, Powershell, Python, JSON, and Javascript). Ability to conduct evaluative studies, solve complex problems, and design and install solutions. Ability to work as part of a team to ensure a program meets its goals. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Preferred Industry cloud certifications from AWS, Microsoft, or Google.
