Job Responsibilities Lead the design and development of complex, scalable, and secure GCP cloud architectures aligned with business objectives. Create detailed architectural blueprints for GCP-based solutions, incorporating compute, storage, networking, security, and data services. Define the overall technical vision, including cloud-native application design, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes/GKE), and multi-cloud strategies. Collaborate with C-suite executives and stakeholders to define cloud strategies and long-term roadmaps. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for GCP, driving adoption of cloud services and innovative technologies such as AI/ML, serverless, and data analytics. Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC (Infrastructure as Code). Design and oversee hybrid cloud or multi-cloud architectures, integrating on-premise systems with GCP services like BigQuery, Anthos, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage. Establish and enforce GCP security best practices, including IAM, data encryption, VPC Service Controls, and zero-trust networking. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA where applicable. Conduct periodic reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancements. Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud technology and proactively propose innovative solutions. Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to explore and validate new GCP services and features. Identify opportunities to integrate AI/ML and data-driven solutions into the enterprise architecture. Qualification Is Education overrated? Yes. We believe so. But there is no way to locate you otherwise. So we might look for at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and preferably an MBA. Any current Google Cloud Certifications will be an added benefit and extra points if this is Professional Cloud Architect: 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, or software engineering. 5 years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Expertise in GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud SQL. Strong knowledge of networking (VPC, load balancers, interconnects), security (IAM, KMS, Cloud Armor), and storage solutions. Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Cloud Build, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages: Python, Go, Java, or Bash. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Leadership and mentoring experience in multi-disciplinary teams. Passion for continuous learning and innovation. Experience with multi-cloud strategies or hybrid cloud architectures using tools like Anthos. Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance frameworks in cloud environments. Professional certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect or Google Professional Data Engineer.
