Role: Developer Relations (Technical background) Salary : $120k-$220k plus equity Location : In-office downtown SF Company size and stage : 17, Series A Company Overview Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini are about to onboard 4 billion people to voice assistants that actually talk like people. We're building out the founding team in-person in SF to scale what’s working. Mission The Founding Developer Relations Lead will be the bridge between our products and the developer community. This role will require you to build engaging content to build Vapi’s presence online and create compelling demos that showcase the power of Vapi’s offerings. You’ll also be a foundational part of how we build the culture at Vapi. Outcomes Bear in mind, these will change as company priorities change and new hires for these functions come on board. This role includes doing everything to grow our team with the best candidates. Revamp the documentation within the first 30 days Design information hierarchy across all concepts, examples, and guides Collect user feedback from channels, key confusion points, and implement improvements Create and manage developer community engagement strategies within the first 14 days Establish a system for tracking developer engagement and community growth Identify key developers and influencers, craft outreach messages, and schedule meetings Leverage relationships with partners to expand Vapi’s reach to new audiences Create engaging organic content for our technical audience within the first 30 days Plan content schedules across social channels, newsletter updates, user spotlights, etc. Collaborate with engineering on deep technical dives Create sample projects for common use-cases Competencies Experience with SEO, Generative SEO, technical content , design, and multimedia editing Communication: You can clearly articulate what you’re thinking and feeling Organization: You naturally gravitate toward building systems that stand the test of time Startup Ready: You have a reason to be here and can make sacrifices for something uncertain Founder Juice: New ideas come from you, you build it yourself or annoy everyone until it’s done ;) Qualifications 2 years of experience in Developer Relations at a developer-focused startup Technical background with ability to explain complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Experience using LLMs and process automations to efficiently drive quality content output Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Portfolio of engaging technical content and demos across various platforms (blog posts, social media, video) and skill in using production software Hiring by dynamism.io in partnership Vapi
