About the facility A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. About the facility location The facility is located in Brooklyn, NY. About the clinician's workday The position requires board certification in Anesthesiology and proficiency in adult anesthesia, including regional techniques. It covers a diverse case mix, including robotic surgery (GU, GS, Gyn), orthopedics, neurosurgery (intracranial and spine), ENT, bariatric, oral surgery, surgical oncology, trauma, OB (C-sections, epidurals), MRI/occasional IR or GI, vascular, thoracic, and plastics. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with no call, at a Level 1 Trauma facility handling general surgery, pediatrics, neuro, and vascular cases (excluding cardiac and transplants). Epic EMR is used, with responsibilities split 50% hands-on and 50% supervising (1:2 CRNA ratio) across 10 ORs, supported by a team of 16 physicians and 8 CRNAs.
