About the position: 8 week contract Position/Specialty: X-Ray Tech Daily Caseload per tech: Varies Shift: Will work 5x8 hrs Monday-Friday 2p-1030p with holidays as needed The first week of contract, the traveler will work during the week on day shift for orientation. Then, set schedule will begin the following week Is on-call REQ? Call rotation: 3-4 days/month. Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? Floating to other buildings on the same campus may be required Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1yr First-timers accepted: Yes, travel experience preferred Experience Required: O/C-Arm experience Certs/Lic Required: BLS Certification/Licenses accepted: ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Misc. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma: Magnet, Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 865 Scrub Color: Teal Top/Black Bottoms Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Nights and weekends only. One time payment for a parking pass. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
