The City of Stockton is seeking to fill one position at the Administrative Aide II (Confidential) level in its central budget office. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Legistar, Tyler Munis systems, City Council Committees, staff report requisitions, invoices, purchase orders, and contracts budget processes. Incumbent will be a team player with excellent work ethic, be able to multi-task, and has excellent verbal and written communications. Incumbent will be able to prioritize multiple deadlines with a proven track record of providing efficient and detail-oriented administrative support. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in Budget/Financial processes with support from a dynamic team. This may lead to growth opportunities in the Budget Analyst class.
This incumbent will work a City of Stockton 9/80 schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fridays; with every other Friday off.
This is a confidential At-Will (Unclassified/Unrepresented) position. Only those applicants who best fits the need of the City will be referred to the hiring department. (Applicants who fail to fully complete the on-line/supplemental questionnaire will be subject to rejection.)
Prior to appointment, eligible candidates will be required to submit to and successfully pass a background investigation, which will include fingerprinting.
Under direction, provides staff assistance in the coordination and control of administrative and field activities of a department; performs research and conducts studies. This is an unrepresented classification designated only to the City's confidential departments which are: the City Manager's Office, the Human Resources Department, the City Auditor's Office, and the City Attorney's Office.
CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
Level I: This is an entry-level confidential support and technical classification similar to the Administrative Analyst and Personnel Analyst classifications within the professional administrative support services. This class is distinguished from Administrative Aide Trainee by the wider range of assignments and more independent action.
Level II: This class is distinguished from Administrative Aide I by the performance of more difficult work, complexity and diversity of assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Administrative Aide I
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, public administration or a closely related field. Extensive public contact experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
Administrative Aide II
In addition to the above, a minimum of two years of work experience performing the duties of an Administrative Aide I.

- Researches and assembles information from a variety of sources for the completion of forms or the preparation of reports.
