The Senior Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in executing time-sensitive sourcing strategies and collaborate closely with Supplier Quality, Buyers, and other Sourcing Specialists.
You Will:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Supplier Quality, Buyers, and Sourcing Specialists, to execute cost reduction strategies for purchased parts.
- Support the development, validation, and sourcing of various commodities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Manage the transfer of assemblies and components from one manufacturing site to another, ensuring a seamless process.
- Place and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and meet production needs.
- Track cost reduction initiatives and maintain cost tracking activities to achieve ongoing savings.
- Analyze supplier cost structures and negotiate favorable terms to optimize sourcing and reduce costs.
- Lead or contribute to project management activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance improvements and ensure quality standards are met.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sourcing process.
You Have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in sourcing, project management, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CPSM, APICS, or CPP are highly preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Technical knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes, particularly in aerospace.
- Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of guiding teams and influencing stakeholders.
- Advanced data analytical skills to assess supplier cost drivers and identify savings opportunities.
- Negotiation expertise to secure competitive terms with suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning capabilities to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work across international time zones as needed.
- Ability to work under pressure, consistently achieving goals and deadlines.
