About Our Client

My client is a leading construction firm in Newport, KY, specializing in commercial, education, healthcare, & industrial projects in the Cincinnati metro. With a reputation for delivering high-quality results on time and within budget, they are dedicated to innovation and sustainability in the construction industry. They are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager to join their dynamic team.

Job Description
  • Lead preconstruction efforts on multiple projects, from conceptual estimates to detailed bid proposals.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with client goals and financial constraints.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating timelines with the broader project team.
  • Conduct value engineering reviews to optimize project costs without compromising quality or design intent.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Analyze and mitigate potential risks during the preconstruction phase.
  • Lead bid solicitation and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and clients on preconstruction progress and project feasibility.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in preconstruction or construction management, with a focus on estimating, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Proficient in preconstruction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client expectations and lead project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in [commercial, residential, industrial] projects is preferred.
