From ALTEN Technology USA, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our projects in California (Irvine, San Diego or San Francisco)
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Utilize Creo software to develop 3D models, component and installation drawings, and bills of materials.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and other cross-functional teams.
- Ensure the implementation of manufacturable design solutions that align with our current product standards.
- Work closely with Test & Compliance personnel to prototype new systems, conduct development testing, and integrate test results into new design iterations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline, with a strong interest in electric and autonomous mobility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate ideas and collaborate with team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex design challenges.
- Proficiency in making sketches, engineering drawings, and performing common computations.
- Over 5 years of experience with 3D modeling software, with expertise in Creo preferred.
- Prior experience in product design is advantageous.
