Information Systems Security Officer, ISSO

Description SAIC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide A&A and physical security support to a 24/7 Mission Operations Center. Primarily, this involves originating and authoring materials associated with the Customer A&A process for multiple projects. Candidates can also expect to perform the following duties: Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information Assist ISSEs in performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation; provide configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware Coordinate with ISSM Staff to manage changes to system and assess the security impact of those changes Prepare and review A&A BOE documentation for multiple projects Support security authorization activities in compliance with customer directives Heavy involvement with the supervision and implementation of customer required data transfer processes Qualifications Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance Minimum of 5 years of ISSO or ISSE experience 2 Years of writing experience, ideally technical writing Bachelor’s Degree, or experience can be substituted for the degree Demonstrated experience in obtaining full accreditations of projects Experience with 1 or more of the following scanning tools: Rapid7, NMAP, and Nessus Desired Qualifications: CISSP Security + Working knowledge of cryptographic solutions for Information Systems High level of expertise with Visio, Project, and Excel SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
