Your new role
As an Electrical Engineer you will:
- Produce contract documents, including plans and specifications, aligned with the scope of work, schedule, and budget.
- Prepare drawings and specifications that meet best practices, project design goals, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and plumbing engineers on electrical system requirements.
- Perform construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, conducting field inspections, and preparing detailed reports.
- Conduct and attend meetings with owners, contractors, and design team members.
- Utilize knowledge of service utility coordination, power distribution, fire alarm, UPS, emergency power systems, lighting, and low voltage infrastructure.
- Be familiar with annual energy use projections and analysis.
- Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.
- Prepare engineering reports and calculations for LEED submissions.
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the building services industry
- PE or EIT strongly preferred
- Strong skills in electrical design, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset
