TITLE: Network Engineer II
Visa - Usc and Gc only
Must have:
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multi-protocol networks
  • Active certifications such as CCNA and/or CCNP
  • Large enterprise experience with a significantly complex multisite infrastructure, hospital?experience preferred
  • Firsthand experience in configuration and administration of routing and security protocols (BGP, OSPF, IPSec, SSL, etc.)
  • Experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
  • Cisco and Juniper switches and routers
  • Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper firewalls
  • Cisco wireless controllers and access points; Cisco Prime
PLUS:
  • Load balancers, Netscaler a plus
  • ForeScout CounterACT a plus

LOCATION: Hybrid; 70% onsite. Local (LOS ANGELES, CA.) candidates - required to be onsite and work at Keck's facilities as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Network Engineer II
  • Monitors and analyzes the availability and performance of the network, ensuring that it is maintained to the highest standards
  • Recommends and implements solutions for network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless, and other network systems and services
  • Responsible for the resolution of complex network problems; performs as an escalation resource for more junior engineers and other teams; escalates to more senior engineers and/or vendors as needed for prompt problem resolution
  • Participates in incident management, asset management, change management, project management, and root cause analysis documentation and remediation.
  • Documents the technical details of the network environment and related systems and services
  • Interacts and coordinates with clients and vendors to foster a satisfying customer service relationship
  • Participates in on call rotation for after-hours and weekend support
  • Team player; trains and mentors new team members
