Job Summary:
Partners with management and the human resource center of excellence to align and drive key human resource strategies, initiatives, and programs. Provides human resources expertise and guidance to ensure value added service to management and employees which reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in human resources, administration/management or related field and three (3) years of multi-disciplinary human resource experience.

Certifications, Licenses or Registration required: N/A

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of human resources policies, procedures and trends. Knowledge of key human resource areas to include organizational design, talent management, compensation, employee relations and talent acquisition. Knowledge of employment law and regulations.

Verbal and written communication skills. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Interpersonal, customer service, and presentation skills. Analytical, investigative, and problem resolution skills. Ability to interpret and explain laws, rules, policies, and regulations. Ability to work with diverse populations and across organizational lines. Ability to develop and implement innovative human resource solutions. Ability to develop, interpret, administer human resources policies, procedures and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the human resource center of excellence to provide innovative human resource solutions.
  • Implements methods to facilitate assigned project completion, organizational change, and business transformation. Executes the delivery of value-added human resource services to include talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and project management.
  • Coordinates and resolves employee relations issues. Coaches managers regarding effective performance management and progressive discipline processes and tools.
  • Collaborates in the development, interpretation, and administration of human resources policies, procedures and practices in accordance with UMMC objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
  • Prepares reports and analyzes data for use in discussions with senior management regarding critical topics such as attrition, recruiting, compensation, and benefits. Works with senior business partners, client groups, and compensation to develop and/or assesses the effectiveness of career paths, job ladders, and job descriptions to ensure the validity and consistency of use within the assigned business units.
