Lead Water Resources Engineer (PE) - Wetland Mitigation
Salary: $100K - $150K (based on experience)
Location: Remote in the Southeastern U.S. - GA, AL, SC, or TN

Join an environmental nonprofit managing over 30,000 acres in the southeastern U.S. We're looking for a Lead Water Resources Engineer (PE) with expertise in stream & wetland restoration, conservation easements, and mitigation banking. You'll lead projects from start to finish, collaborating with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design stream and wetland restoration projects
  • Collect field data (geomorphic, ecological, hydrologic)
  • Develop design plans, cost estimates, and bid documents
  • Perform hydraulic modeling for design & permitting
  • Write reports and present designs to stakeholders
  • Oversee construction and inspection

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8-10 years in river, stream, or wetland restoration
  • PE License (preferred in GA, AL, SC, or TN)
  • Expertise in Rosgen's Natural Channel Design and Hec-RAS modeling
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and creating plan sets
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations
