Civil Engineer

We have an opening for a Civil PE in Decatur, GA Summary: The focus of this role will be to assist in leading the company, developing business and mentoring younger Engineers in the areas of:   Land Development - grading, hydrology, Stormwater, etc. The areas will include: water / sewer design, water quality, storm drainage, street design, and more.  Job Expectations: Serves as a liaison with clients and agencies critical to the successful completion or our projects. Has full technical responsibility to organize, execute, interpret and coordinate assignments. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs several large, important projects at any given time. Acts independently to anticipate challenges, troubleshoot, consult with senior staffers and ensure project success. Job Duties: Business Development Leadership role within company to junior engineers and designers Design in Civil 3D Review geotechnical, environmental, and transportation reports to identify engineering problems and assess the possible impact to projects Compute water and sewer flow rates, grading requirements, hydrologic run-off rates, and hydraulic capacities of pipes and swales Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects Estimate quantities and cost of materials, labor, or equipment to determine project feasibility Inspect and monitor each project’s progress and ensure conformance to design specifications Prepare or present project deliverables, such as drawing packages, specifications, drainage reports, utility studies plats, and bid proposals to client or agency with jurisdiction over the project Provide technical advice regarding construction and design Keep informed of new scientific methods and developments affecting engineering design Plan and design projects following construction and governmental standards, using desi Required: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Profession Engineer License Design experience Civil 3D Minimum 7 years' experience Salary:  $100-$130K Location:  Decatur, GA Duration:  Permanent If you are interested or would like more information on this position, please click the apply button or contact me directly at: tharvey@selectek.com Â
