Job Summary:

Must have Nurse Recruiting experience.

The RN Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified registered nurses to meet the staffing needs of healthcare facilities. This role involves developing and implementing recruitment strategies, conducting interviews, and collaborating with department heads to ensure the timely placement of nursing staff.  

Recruitment and Sourcing:

  •  Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified RN candidates.
  •  Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and nursing schools.
  •  Maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for future hiring needs.
  • Candidate Screening and Interviewing:
  • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  •  Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
  • Schedule and conduct in-depth interviews with candidates.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with department heads and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide feedback on candidates.
  •  Assist in the development of job descriptions and posting of job advertisements.
  •  Onboarding and Compliance:
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  •  Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies during the hiring process
  • Conduct background checks and verify credentials and references. 5. Relationship Management
  •  Build and maintain relationships with nursing schools, professional associations, and other potential sources of candidates.  Career fairs, conferences, and networking events to promote the organization and attract talent.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience and maintain ongoing communication with applicants.
  •  Reporting and Analysis:
  •  Track and report on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source of hire
  • Analyze recruitment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  •  Prepare regular reports for management on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in healthcare recruiting, specifically recruiting registered nurses
  • ]Strong understanding of the nursing profession and healthcare industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  •  Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR) or recruitment (e.g., AIRS, CIR).
  • Strong network within the nursing community. Working Conditions:
  •  Full-time position with typical business hours, but may require occasional evening or weekend work to attend recruitment events.
  • Primarily office-based, but may involve travel to job fairs, conferences, and nursing schools
